Welcome to Buffalo Camping and Canoeing Inc. serving the Buffalo National River in Northern Arkansas.

We are located in the historic Gilbert General Store, in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Northern Arkansas.
Gilbert is a quaint little town. The last town located on the banks of the Buffalo National River. We are located off US highway 65 at the end of Hwy 333 east.. We are 15 miles north of Marshall and 35 miles south of Harrison.

We have a wide variety of Cabins and Guesthouses to fit all budgets, all are within walking distance to the Buffalo River. We also offer canoe and rafting trips on the breathtakingly beautiful Buffalo National River. Choose a trip for a few hours or several days. Set out on a day trip on the sparkling translucent water of the Buffalo National River and end up just a short walk to your cabin or Guest House.
Hiking trails with panoramic views of the majestic bluffs of the Buffalo River are just a short skip and a hop from your cabin.

Come step back in time! The Gilbert General Store was built in 1901. See the original post office. Gander at everything from old farm tools to coffin nails. YESSSSSIR now that's some old stuff.
We also offer food items, camping, canoeing and fishing gear. Stop by on Saturday morning and you might find some ole timers picking some tunes on the porch.

If you plan a trip our way it would be a good idea to make reservations.
During high season we have a two night minimum stay on the weekends.

Set out on one of the palatial log porches and listen to the tree frogs, or watch the fireflies light up the night sky. If your timing is right you might catch a glimpse of the full moon sparkling on the moving currents of the river. In the fall you might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle, or hear a choir of geese as they land for the night. You might hear the call of a bull elk. This is a place to reflect and enjoy the wonders of God's Creation.

RESERVATION POLICY

Prepayment (100%) is expected the day the reservations are made.
We except Visa or MasterCard

CANCELLATION POLICY
For a refund cancellation must be made by phone Fourteen (14) days prior to your reservation stay by Three 3 PM, or your entire Deposit (prepayment) will be forfeited.

There is a $20.00 Cancellation fee on:
1. All refunds
2. Any changes made to your reservations outside of the fourteen (14)
Cancellation date.

SORRY NO PETS, TENTS OR R.V.'S In Our Cabins or Guest Houses.
We do have a Campground one mile away for those guests needing these services.
